About the Workshop
The Digital Image Processing Workshop is designed to give participants both a theoretical foundation and practical skills in image processing. You will start by exploring the basics of how images are represented digitally, and then gradually progress to advanced enhancement and transformation techniques.
Topics include pixel-level operations such as brightness and contrast adjustments, image transformations like affine mapping and negative imaging, noise modeling and reduction, and a variety of thresholding methods for segmentation and feature extraction.
By combining lectures with hands-on coding sessions, this workshop ensures that you not only understand the mathematics and algorithms behind image processing, but also gain experience implementing them with real-world datasets. These skills are directly applicable in domains such as computer vision, medical imaging, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence.
